'The Karate Kid Part II,' which opens today at the Baronet and other theaters, teaches how ephemeral is the reputation that accompanies such a trophy for high-kicking -a lesson of decidedly limited application. Even as sequels go in this era of movie mega-series, 'The Karate Kid Part II' peters out faster than most.
